Travelling through history

Yesterday I studied the Berlin map "Das rote Berlin", I had found and bought on Monday. It gives all the places important to workers' movements and union history.
Great to know August Bebel, famous leader of the social democrats in the 19th and early 20th century, lived close to my place on Hauptstraße 97. And the first strike in Berlin was 1844 in Köpenicker Straße, close to nowadays ver.di headquarters. Seems a good idea to walk around downtown following the map. Will do when my cold and the weather are better.
By the way, Iggy Pop and David Bowie stayed at Hauptstr. 155, even closer to my place. Quite a place to be! Read about it here.
