Changes

This is the Eiffel tower at 7:58 pm last night. Paris is pitch dark. Why?
There was an action in France yesterday, when everybody was asked to cut down electricity and turn out the lights from 7:55 to 8 pm. Not to save energy, but to create global awareness towards the dangers of the climate change. Even the Eiffel tower and the Paris Hilton where UN delegates were staying were not illuminated then.
Over the years, the United Nations had become more aware of the climate change (check here), and today the Intergovernmetal Panel on Climate Change will launch the first volume of the report "Climate Change 2007" in Paris.
I did participate in the action that spread all over Europe, but still I'm using up too much energy, by flying f.e. So I should start changing, as well. Will it help?
