Joensuu beach and night life

Lazy, lazy relaxed saturday! Sunshiny morning, off to the beach - slight drizzle after 15 minutes. Which offered the chance to go to the market square and eat one of those highly spoken of and delicious karelian breadpies filled with meat and cabbage like looking and tasting roots.
Clouds were gone soon, so on to the next beach - drizzle again. We gave up and bought some beer and pasta for dinner.
The guys went to the flat and their laptops, and I went shopping, or rather looking around Joensuu and getting lost a few times. Which is fun if you have a map or the place is easy to remember. Joensuu is. It's a nonspectacular, but really great to live in town. Everything's close by, living is easy, people laugh a lot - Karelia is different from other parts of Finland.
In the evening the sky was a bright blue again, no clouds, so we went back to the beach to enjoy the sunset, and afterwards Joensuu night life. Today early rising, coffee, and off to Savonlinna. Wonderful places we see on this trip, but the time we spend in any of these is way too short, for me, anyway. I guess I'll have to stay longer, like two weeks in Helsinki and two more in Riga.
