Summer solstice, and I missed swedish midsummer festivities yesterday! I thought they were on today, but was wrong. I only noticed when I arrived at the swedish church this afternoon. What a pity!But I made it to the Gay (and Lesbian and...) Pride Festival afterwards around Nollendorfplatz, Europe's biggest street festival for gays, lesbians, and friends. It's even bigger and better than the years before. A huge crowd was celebrating together, stages with music everywhere, people dancing in the streets. I visited my friends and former collegues Manu and Barbara at the "Begine" stand. They had founded this women's pub many years ago and still are very enthusiasticly working there.
I left early, though: too many people squeezing through the streets, and it was getting cold, too. Not actually what I call summer...
