Today, Emanuel was buried at "Alter St. Matthäus Cemetery". So many friends, neighbours and collegues came to the chapel to give him a last goodbye. Christine Revkin came from UNI in Switzerland, a collegue from Mongolia had sent the mongolian mourning song he had sung for Emanuel on the day they had found him dead in Cyprus. The ceremony was done beautifully, with warmth and music, reminding us of his life and his personality. It ended with a song by Billy Holiday, his favourite singer.
We were allowed to draw and write on the coffin, and the grave was showered with summer flowers, our last greetings.
We were all very sad. I feel really miserable today, and will go to bed early.
