Cheers!

Wow! What a day! You get those summer feelings all over again! Everybody was running around wearing summer clothes and summer smiles.
After a visit to my father, I went downtown to Düsseldorf Oldtown, just strolling around and enjoying the day.
The Heine-House reminded me of the years when we were studying at university and fighting for it to be named "Heinrich-Heine-Universität", painting the name onto the university buildings in the middle of the night. Of course it was removed every time we did it. Now they're proud of it.
Two of my best friends from those days are working in the Heine-Institut now. The third in our small circle is a professor and teacher at Heinrich-Heine-University. The times they are achanging.
In the evening I met my friend Susanne after many, many months. We had got to know each other seven years ago in lovely Conil, sharing a flat when doing a spanish course in Academia Andaluza. I was a beginner, and she sooooo much better! She had been following my blog, so I couldn`t give her any news. I showed her the pics, though, poor her - all 700 of them.
Well, it was great just sitting outside "Uerige", a famous beer pub, chatting, having an "Alt", the local beer. So sad she can`t travel around much lately.
When I came home to Cathy`s, a tasty dinner was ready. But before sitting down to eat, my hair was dyed a nice red, bit darker than usual. Cathy said it`s more winter like, and matches her xmas decorations perfectly. Yeah, well. Guess I`ll have to wear some xmas green bangles for earrings then.
We had a great photosession with hundreds of pictures of her being done up nicely with her xmas tablecloth wrapped up like a shawl and adding some extra spice. Great pics, some fo them (check saturday)! So we were both very proud of our day`s or rather night`s work: she with my hair and I with her pics. Cheers on us with a nice glass of red wine! :)
