Xmas party @ House of Life

Since a few weeks, I felt I needed to do something in Berlin - besides work and meeting friends and walking around the capital and looking after Emil. Surfing through the internet helped: I found the "House of Life", a home for disabled people between 20 and 60 who need special care. They are always in want of help, even if it's only giving out coffee and cake on Saturday and Sunday afternoon in "Café Bohne".
I called them, had an appointment today in the cafe, and arrived just in time for the big Xmas party. What a surprise! It was the perfect Xmas party, with a Xmas tree, presents, snow outside, and Father Xmas, too. Several of them, actually, on motorbikes and a truck, bringing more presents and music. We all loved it!
Instead of spending half an hour at the café, checking whether I might like to work there sometimes (for free, of course), I was one of many helpers giving out dishes, presents and smiles all afternoon at this wonderful Xmas party. What a nice welcome!
