This afternoon, my collegues and I went to work in our archive at "Behala" in the Berlin west harbour area (it's beautiful and a historical monument). All afternoon we spent sorting, checking, chucking files and literature. It was great to be outside in the fresh air again in the evening. The small church for sailors round the corner was a surprise to me, and the U 9 station as well: all the walls are decorated with poems, some of Heinrich Heine! I wonder who thought of this astonishing piece of art in the middle of the harbour and working area...
Back home, I started getting ready for my trip to the EU meeting tomorrow and arranging the flat for my next guests. Antra and her parents and aunt from Riga will come on Saturday to stay the weekend. She hosted me for three weeks last summer.
Pity I'll be back from Frankfurt in the evening only. But Karen will welcome them in Crellestraße. :)
